You’re Invited: Join Us for Thornton Community Centre’s AGM

Annual General Meeting

Annual General Meeting

We’re inviting all members of the community to attend Thornton Community Centre’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) — a key moment in our calendar where we reflect on the past year and look ahead to the future.

Whether you’re a regular visitor, a group leader, a volunteer, or simply someone who cares about community life in Thornton, this is your opportunity to hear more about the work we do, ask questions, and contribute your thoughts and ideas.

What is an AGM?
An AGM (Annual General Meeting) is a public meeting where we share updates on how the Centre has been run over the past 12 months. It’s also a chance for you to meet some of the people behind the scenes — the trustees, volunteers and partners — and learn about the direction we’re heading in.

This Year’s Agenda:

  1. Apologies

  2. Chair’s Report on behalf of the Trustees

  3. Treasurer’s Report – Finances 2024–25

  4. AOB – General discussion and comments for the future

We’re proud of what has been achieved this year — from new events and workshops, to exciting plans for sub-brands like The Grove and the Street Market. But more importantly, we want to hear from you. What would you love to see at your community centre? What could we improve or do more of?

Come along, get involved, and have your say.
This is your centre — and together we can shape a stronger, more vibrant Thornton.

Refreshments will be available, and everyone is welcome.
