Welcome to the Thornton Community Library, a friendly and welcoming space where villagers of all ages can explore, learn, and connect. Run by passionate volunteers since 2017, we bring together the heart of the community with the joy of reading, curiosity, and discovery

What we offer

At Thornton Community Library, we’re more than just a place to borrow books — we’re a vibrant, welcoming space where curiosity grows, confidence builds, and imaginations take flight. Whether you’re popping in for a quiet moment with a book or joining one of our friendly community activities, there’s something here for everyone.

Our Dedicated Library Team

Reservations are free for books in Bradford Libraries stock. You can renew the loan period of your books and make reservations on your online account.

There is further information available to view on Bradford Libraries online services, and the books and computer equipment are supplied by Bradford Council.
