Thornton Community Centre is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation run by a Board of Trustees. The main objective of the Charity is to further or benefit the residents of Thornton, Bradford, West Yorkshire, and the neighbourhood, by working with the residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to provide facilities and activities for recreation, health and fitness, welfare, and leisure time with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents.
We have been operating since taking over the Centre in 2018 as a group of unpaid volunteers. We now need a Centre Manager to move onto our next stage of development. Working closely with the Trustees and other staff and local statutory, voluntary, and commercial sector organisations, the Manager will work to ensure the Centre is a vibrant, well-managed facility that operates within a sustainable framework for the benefit of residents and organisations.
We require an experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic manager with a real commitment to community development. This is an exciting time to be involved in the work of the Centre and we look forward to working with someone who has the vision, passion and energy that will make a real difference to the lives of the area’s residents
