Celebrate in Thornton this weekend

There’s lots going on this Bank Holiday weekend in Thornton, as groups from across the village have secured funding to host various events.
Starting this afternoon at Sapgate Gardens with a Coronation Picnic from 2pm: If you’ve had enough of being in front of the TV and want some fresh air, why not come along to Sapgate Gardens. There’s music, courtesy of the 309s . There’ll be a couple of gazebos if it’s wet, but bring something to sit on in case the grass is wet and something to eat. Then share a couple of hours with family and friends and the lovely people of Thornton.
On Sunday afternoon, even though it’s the first Sunday of the month and we usually hold our Sunday Cinema, here at the centre we will be hosting afternoon tea from 2pm. Feel free to being some food to share, no obligation.
And then finally on Monday, St James are holding Free Fun Day. There will be inflatables, BBQ and games.
It would be great to see you at the events.
