What’s Happening at the Centre

As we head towards the end of another month, we’ve got lots going on at the centre. Check out our What’s On page for all the regular classes and groups. But what else have we got coming up for you?

Next Saturday (29th June), we are taking part in the Thornton Art Trail. We will have a photography exhibition in the Centre and we are doing a Kids activity and refreshments.

Friday 5th July sees Red Umbrella’s Community Curry Night take place from 7pm. Come along and enjoy a delicious starter and main course made by our very own Naydien Wells! Tickets available from the centre and Thornton Furnishings, and are £15 (includes starter & main course) vegetarian options are available and the bar will be open on the night.

Saturday 6th July is the monthly Litter Pick organised by our friends at Sapgate Gardens. 

And finally for now, Sunday 7th July is Sunday Cinema day. Join us for The Old Oak. Pub landlord TJ Ballantyne, living in a previously thriving mining community in County Durham, struggles to hold onto his pub and keep it as the one remaining public space where people can meet in the town. Meanwhile, tensions rise when Syrian refugees are placed there, but Ballantyne strikes up a friendship with one of the refugees, Yara.
